Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube (17.5 oz) refrigerated jumbo cinnamon rolls (5 count, with icing included)
  • 5 large eggs, whisked and cooked to your preference
  • 5 slices of thick-cut bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 5 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
  • Non-stick cooking spray or butter for the waffle iron

Instructions

  1. Begin by preheating your waffle iron to a medium-high setting. Once it is hot, lightly coat the plates with non-stick cooking spray or a small amount of butter to ensure the cinnamon rolls don’t stick to the ridges.
  2. Open the tube of cinnamon rolls and set the icing container aside. Place one cinnamon roll in the center of the waffle iron (or one in each quadrant if you have a large square iron). Close the lid and press down firmly. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  3. While the cinnamon roll waffles are cooking, prepare your eggs and bacon. We recommend scrambling the eggs or frying them “over-medium” so the yolk creates a delicious sauce. Keep your cooked bacon warm and crispy.
  4. Carefully remove the hot cinnamon roll waffles from the iron. Use a serrated knife to slice each waffle in half horizontally, creating a top and a bottom piece. Place a slice of cheese on the bottom half while it is still hot so it begins to melt.
  5. Layer the cooked egg and a slice of bacon on top of the cheese. Place the other half of the cinnamon roll waffle on top. Drizzle the included icing over the top of the sandwich for that signature sweet finish.
