Description

Delicious cookies combining chewy dough, luscious caramel, and rich chocolate, reminiscent of your favorite Twix bar.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel, melted
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chocolate bars, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and light.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, ensuring well combined.
  4. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, blending until just combined.
  6. Spread half of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, creating an even layer.
  7. Pour the melted caramel over the cookie base, spreading it evenly.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining dough over the caramel, covering it as much as possible.
  9. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  10. Drizzle with the melted chocolate for an extra layer of deliciousness, and allow to set before slicing.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or freeze for up to three months. For a salted caramel flavor, add a pinch of sea salt to the melted caramel.
