- 20 large pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until soft.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix the cooked beef with ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Stuff each shell with the beef and cheese mixture and place them in the baking dish. Pour remaining marinara sauce over the shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve with a side salad and garlic bread for a complete meal. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
