Description

A refreshing blend of strawberries and spinach that is nutritious and perfect for breakfast or a quick energy boost.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any preferred dairy-free milk)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Chia seeds (optional, for added nutrition)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the fresh spinach, hulled and sliced strawberries, and banana with the almond milk.
  2. Blend the mixture on high until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds to a minute.
  3. If you enjoy a sweeter smoothie, add honey or maple syrup to taste and blend again briefly.
  4. For a cooler treat, add ice cubes and blend until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a glass, and sprinkle chia seeds on top if desired.
  6. Serve immediately to enjoy the smoothie at its freshest.

Notes

For best flavor and consistency, enjoy fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
