Description
A delightful, plant-based dish featuring roasted cauliflower with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and toss them with olive oil directly on the baking sheet.
- Roast the cauliflower for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through until tender and slightly browned.
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Heat until simmering and slightly thickened.
- Transfer the roasted cauliflower to a mixing bowl, pour the warm sauce over it, and toss to coat evenly.
Notes
Ensure the cauliflower is dry before tossing with oil for a crispy texture. For added heat, include red pepper flakes.
