Description

Soft and chewy snickerdoodle cookies rolled in a delightful cinnamon-sugar coating, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine 3 tablespoons of sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl; set aside.
  3. Whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together in a large mixing bowl until creamy.
  5. Mix in the eggs, one at a time, along with the vanilla extract.
  6. Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients gradually until the dough just comes together.
  7. Roll the dough into balls, then roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
