Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups chilled apple cider
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice (unsweetened)
  • 2 cups ginger ale or sparkling cider
  • 1 large orange, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh pomegranate arils (seeds)
  • 23 cinnamon sticks (optional for garnish)
  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Wash the orange thoroughly and slice it into thin rounds. If you are using a whole pomegranate, remove the arils and set them aside in a small bowl. Having your garnishes ready ensures the punch stays cold and fizzy when you serve it.
  2. In a large glass pitcher or a punch bowl, pour in the 4 cups of chilled apple cider and the 2 cups of pomegranate juice. Use a long spoon to stir them together until the colors are perfectly blended into a rich, dark red.
  3. Just before you are ready to serve, gently pour in the 2 cups of ginger ale or sparkling cider. Stir very slowly once or twice to mix without losing all the carbonation. This ensures every glass has those delightful bubbles.
  4. Add the orange slices and pomegranate arils directly into the pitcher or bowl. Throw in the cinnamon sticks for a hint of spiced aroma. Add ice cubes to the pitcher if you plan to serve it all at once, or place ice in individual glasses to prevent the punch from becoming watered down.
