4 ounces softened cream cheese (full-fat or light)
2 tablespoons “Everything Bagel” seasoning blend
1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped (optional garnish)
1/2 cup smoked salmon, chopped (optional topping)
Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Instructions
Wash the English cucumber thoroughly. You can peel it in strips for a decorative look or leave the skin on for extra fiber and color. Slice the cucumber into rounds that are about 1/2-inch thick. Arrange the slices in a single layer on a serving platter or a clean cutting board.
Ensure your cream cheese is at room temperature so it spreads easily. If you want a more decorative look, place the softened cream cheese into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Otherwise, you can simply use a small spoon or an offset spatula to apply the cheese to the cucumber slices.
Apply a dollop (about 1 to 2 teaspoons) of cream cheese onto the center of each cucumber round. If you are using optional toppings like smoked salmon, place a small piece of the salmon directly onto the cream cheese now.
Generously sprinkle the “Everything Bagel” seasoning over the top of each bite. The seasoning should stick easily to the cream cheese. Garnish with a small pinch of fresh dill or a crack of black pepper for an extra pop of flavor and color.
