Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-ounce) wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • Optional: Orange zest for garnish
  • Assorted crackers, sliced baguette, or apple slices for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the brie wheel in a small oven-safe baking dish or on a parchment-lined baking sheet. If you prefer a dip-like consistency, a small round baker works best to hold the shape of the melted cheese.
  2. Using a sharp knife, gently score the top of the brie rind in a crosshatch pattern. Do not cut all the way through the cheese; you just want to break the surface of the rind so the toppings can seep in and the cheese can expand easily while melting.
  3. Spoon the cranberry sauce evenly over the top of the brie. Sprinkle the chopped pecans and fresh rosemary over the cranberry layer. Drizzle the honey over everything to add a touch of sweetness and help the nuts toast beautifully.
  4. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. You are looking for the cheese to feel very soft to the touch and the cranberry sauce to be bubbling slightly. Be careful not to overbake, or the cheese may become too liquid and lose its structure.
  5. Remove from the oven and let it sit for 2 to 3 minutes before serving. If desired, sprinkle a little fresh orange zest over the top for an extra pop of color and aroma. Serve immediately while warm and gooey.
