- 1 cup pitted dates
- 1 cup roasted almonds
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the pitted dates, roasted almonds, rolled oats, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture is sticky.
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper. Spread and press the mixture evenly into the pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the baked squares cool completely in the pan before slicing them into squares.
Notes
For best texture, use fresh, soft dates. Feel free to substitute almonds with other nuts or add dark chocolate chips for a variation.
