Description

A vibrant and hearty skillet dish featuring soft potatoes and colorful red cabbage, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium red cabbage, chopped
  • 2 large potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the diced potatoes to the skillet and cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until they start to soften. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  4. Stir in the chopped red cabbage, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using). Cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and the potatoes are fully cooked.
  5. Adjust seasoning as needed and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, consider freezing for up to 2 months. Reheat on the stove or in the microwave.
