Description

A delightful dish that combines earthy mushrooms with pungent garlic wrapped around chewy chow mein noodles. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 200g chow mein noodles
  • 200g mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, stir-frying until the mushrooms are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Mix in the cooked chow mein noodles, pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, tossing everything together.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, feel free to toss in bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas. To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free soy sauce.
