Description

A comforting bread filled with warm, spiced apples and a tender crumb, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 2/3 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1.5 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1.75 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 cup Milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 2 medium Apples, diced
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 12 tbsp Milk for Glaze
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract for Glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Mix all-purpose flour and baking powder together in a separate bowl, then gradually incorporate into the wet ingredients.
  4. Pour in the milk and gently fold in the diced apples.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the brown sugar and cinnamon over it, and add the remaining batter on top.
  6. Bake for approximately 55 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bread to cool slightly before serving, and drizzle with glaze if desired.

Notes

Use a blend of sweet and tart apples for best flavor. Wrap cooled bread tightly for storage.
