- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 2/3 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 large Eggs
- 1.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1.5 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1.75 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 cup Milk (or plant-based milk)
- 2 medium Apples, diced
- 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1–2 tbsp Milk for Glaze
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract for Glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Mix all-purpose flour and baking powder together in a separate bowl, then gradually incorporate into the wet ingredients.
- Pour in the milk and gently fold in the diced apples.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the brown sugar and cinnamon over it, and add the remaining batter on top.
- Bake for approximately 55 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool slightly before serving, and drizzle with glaze if desired.
Notes
Use a blend of sweet and tart apples for best flavor. Wrap cooled bread tightly for storage.
