Description

A delightful bowl featuring tender beef meatballs in fluffy pita, topped with refreshing vegetables and creamy tzatziki sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup chopped cucumbers
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs. This should yield about 16 meatballs, depending on the size you choose.
  3. Bake the meatballs at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes or until cooked through and browned.
  4. Warm the pita breads in the oven or on a skillet. Stuff each pita with cooked meatballs, cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onions. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the meatballs with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option. Make tzatziki sauce ahead of time to let the flavors meld.
