Instructions
- Preheat your oven and prepare the cake mix according to package instructions using water, oil, and eggs. Bake as directed, and then allow the cake to cool completely.
- Once the cake has cooled, crumble it into a large bowl until the cake resembles fine crumbs. Add the whipped cream and strawberry preserves, mixing until everything is well combined and evenly blended.
- Form small balls from the mixture and place them on a baking sheet. Aim for about 1-inch balls for perfect bite-sized treats.
- Freeze the cake balls for about 30 minutes until they are firm. This helps them hold their shape when you dip them in chocolate.
- Melt the chocolate coating according to package instructions until smooth and velvety.
- Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert it into each cake ball. This will help hold the stick in place when dipping.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing them back on the baking sheet.
- If desired, decorate with sprinkles while the chocolate coating is still wet. This adds a fun and colorful touch.
- Stand the cake pops upright in a foam block or container to set. Allow the chocolate to harden completely.
