Description

Delightful bite-sized treats combining strawberry cake, whipped cream, and melted chocolate, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of strawberry cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup of strawberry preserves
  • Chocolate coating (melting chocolate or candy wafers)
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and prepare the cake mix according to package instructions using water, oil, and eggs. Bake as directed, and then allow the cake to cool completely.
  2. Once the cake has cooled, crumble it into a large bowl until the cake resembles fine crumbs. Add the whipped cream and strawberry preserves, mixing until everything is well combined and evenly blended.
  3. Form small balls from the mixture and place them on a baking sheet. Aim for about 1-inch balls for perfect bite-sized treats.
  4. Freeze the cake balls for about 30 minutes until they are firm. This helps them hold their shape when you dip them in chocolate.
  5. Melt the chocolate coating according to package instructions until smooth and velvety.
  6. Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert it into each cake ball. This will help hold the stick in place when dipping.
  7. Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing them back on the baking sheet.
  8. If desired, decorate with sprinkles while the chocolate coating is still wet. This adds a fun and colorful touch.
  9. Stand the cake pops upright in a foam block or container to set. Allow the chocolate to harden completely.
  10. Serve and enjoy these delightful treats at your gathering!

Notes

Store cake pops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe container.
