Description

Honey Garlic Shrimp Tacos are a delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors, featuring succulent shrimp marinated in a zesty honey garlic sauce, paired with crunchy slaw in warm tortillas.

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 8 small tortillas
  • 2 cups slaw mix
  • 1 avocado, sliced (optional)
  • Cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, fresh lime juice, olive oil, smoked paprika, and black pepper until creamy.
  2. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade and toss until well coated. Let them rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated shrimp. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until opaque and lightly caramelized.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet for 20–30 seconds on each side or microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel.
  5. Divide the slaw among the tortillas, top with shrimp, avocado if using, cilantro, and lime juice before serving.

Notes

Serve warm and pair with lime wedges for extra zing. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
