Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 scoop (approx. 30g) vanilla or chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey for extra sweetness

Instructions

  1. In a mason jar or an airtight glass container, add the rolled oats, protein powder, chia seeds, and a pinch of salt. Stir these dry ingredients together to ensure the protein powder is evenly distributed.
  2. Pour the almond milk, Greek yogurt, and vanilla extract into the jar. If you prefer a sweeter breakfast, add your maple syrup or honey at this stage.
  3. Use a spoon to stir the mixture vigorously. Make sure to reach the bottom corners of the jar to break up any dry clumps of protein powder. The mixture should look well-combined and slightly liquidy.
  4. Secure the lid tightly on the jar. Place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, though leaving it overnight for 8 hours results in the best, creamiest texture.
