1 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries)
1 scoop (approx. 30g) vanilla or berry whey protein powder (or plant-based alternative)
1/2 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (add more only if needed)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Optional toppings: Fresh strawberries, 2 tablespoons granola, 1 teaspoon hemp seeds, or a drizzle of almond butter.
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Blender – Place the frozen berries, Greek yogurt, protein powder, and chia seeds into the jar of a high-speed blender. Pour in the almond milk last to help the blades start moving without making the base too runny.
Step 2: Blend Until Thick – Start the blender on a low speed and gradually increase to high. Use a tamper tool if your blender has one to push the frozen ingredients down toward the blades. If the mixture is too thick to move, add an extra tablespoon of milk at a time until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Step 3: Transfer and Assemble – Use a spatula to scoop the thick smoothie mixture into a shallow bowl. Smooth out the surface with the back of a spoon to create a flat base for your toppings.
Step 4: Add Toppings – Arrange your fresh berries, granola, and seeds on top in neat rows or a fun pattern. If you like extra healthy fats, finish with a light drizzle of nut butter. Serve immediately while cold.
