Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (old fashioned oats)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 medium apple, finely diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a mason jar or a small glass container, add the rolled oats, vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir these dry ingredients together to ensure the protein powder is evenly distributed and won’t clump when liquid is added.
  2. Pour in the almond milk and add the Greek yogurt. If you prefer a bit of extra sweetness, stir in the maple syrup or honey at this stage. Use a spoon to mix everything thoroughly until no dry pockets of protein powder remain.
  3. Gently fold in the finely diced apples. Mixing them directly into the oats ensures that every bite is filled with the fresh, crunchy texture of the fruit and the warm spice of the cinnamon.
  4. Place the lid on your container and seal it tightly. Put the jar in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, though leaving it overnight (about 8 hours) is best for the perfect creamy consistency.
  5. In the morning, remove the lid and give the oats a good stir. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a splash of extra milk to loosen it up. Enjoy it cold straight from the jar!
