Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (old-fashioned oats)
  • 1 scoop vanilla or cinnamon protein powder
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 medium apple, finely diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a mason jar or a small sealable container, add the rolled oats, protein powder, ground cinnamon, chia seeds, and a pinch of salt. Stir or shake the container to ensure the protein powder is evenly distributed among the oats.
  2. Pour in the almond milk and the Greek yogurt. If you prefer a slightly sweeter taste, add your maple syrup or honey at this stage. Stir vigorously with a spoon to make sure no protein powder clumps remain at the bottom of the jar.
  3. Gently fold in the finely diced apples. Mixing them in now allows the apples to slightly soften and release their natural juices into the oat mixture, enhancing the overall flavor.
  4. Seal the lid tightly on your container. Place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, though leaving it overnight is best for the creamiest texture. The oats and chia seeds will expand and thicken the mixture into a pudding-like consistency.
