Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries)
  • 1 medium banana, sliced (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional for extra sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds or ground flaxseeds
  • A splash of water if needed for thinning

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Add Liquid and Base: Pour the almond milk and Greek yogurt into the blender canister first. Adding the liquids before the solids helps the blender blades move more freely and prevents the frozen fruit from getting stuck at the bottom.
  2. Step 2: Add Fruit and Nutrients: Add the frozen mixed berries, banana slices, and chia seeds into the blender. If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, drizzle in your honey or maple syrup at this stage.
  3. Step 3: Blend Until Smooth: Secure the lid tightly and blend on high speed for about 45 to 60 seconds. Continue blending until the mixture is completely smooth and no large chunks of frozen fruit remain.
  4. Step 4: Adjust and Finalize: Check the consistency of your smoothie. If it is too thick, add a tablespoon of water or extra milk and pulse again. If you prefer it thicker, add a few extra frozen berries or a couple of ice cubes and blend briefly.
