Instructions
- Combine the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl.
- Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients and stir until a rough dough forms.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Preheat your Dutch oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Shape the risen dough into a round loaf and place it on parchment paper.
- Transfer the loaf into the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes; then remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.
