- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of your choice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken pieces generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Pour in the heavy cream, bringing it to a gentle simmer while stirring for about 3 minutes until it’s slightly thickened.
- Gradually whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth; season to taste with salt and pepper. Return the chicken to the skillet, add the drained pasta, and toss until everything is well-coated in the creamy sauce.
Notes
Serve garnished with freshly chopped parsley. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
