Description
Vibrant and tangy pickled jalapeños that add a spicy punch to any dish.
Ingredients
- Jalapeños
- White vinegar
- Water
- Sugar
- Salt
- Garlic
- Spices (such as black peppercorns or cumin)
Instructions
- Start by slicing the jalapeños into thin rings. If you’d like to reduce the heat, consider removing the seeds before slicing.
- In a saucepan, combine equal parts white vinegar and water. Add the sugar and salt, and stir until well mixed.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to ensure the sugar and salt dissolve fully.
- Once the mixture reaches a rolling boil, add the sliced jalapeños along with any desired spices. Remove from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
Notes
Store pickled jalapeños in a clean, airtight jar in the refrigerator. They will last for 1-2 months.
