Description

Vibrant and tangy pickled jalapeños that add a spicy punch to any dish.

Ingredients

  • Jalapeños
  • White vinegar
  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Garlic
  • Spices (such as black peppercorns or cumin)

Instructions

  1. Start by slicing the jalapeños into thin rings. If you’d like to reduce the heat, consider removing the seeds before slicing.
  2. In a saucepan, combine equal parts white vinegar and water. Add the sugar and salt, and stir until well mixed.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to ensure the sugar and salt dissolve fully.
  4. Once the mixture reaches a rolling boil, add the sliced jalapeños along with any desired spices. Remove from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.

Notes

Store pickled jalapeños in a clean, airtight jar in the refrigerator. They will last for 1-2 months.
