Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns (brioche or Hawaiian rolls)
  • 1 lb breaded chicken nuggets or popcorn chicken
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
  • Sliced pickles
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or coleslaw
  • 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Cook the Chicken

Prepare your chicken according to the package instructions. You can bake them in the oven or use an air fryer until they are golden brown and crispy. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  2. Step 2: Prepare the Spicy Honey Glaze

In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the honey, hot sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds to make the glaze thin and easy to pour.

  3. Step 3: Coat the Chicken

Place the cooked, crispy chicken in a large mixing bowl. Pour about three-quarters of the spicy honey glaze over the chicken and toss gently until every piece is thoroughly coated in the sticky sauce.

  4. Step 4: Prepare the Buns

Slice your slider buns in half horizontally. For extra flavor, lightly toast the cut sides under a broiler or in a pan until they are slightly golden. This prevents the bread from getting soggy from the sauce.

  5. Step 5: Assemble the Sliders

Place the bottom half of the buns on a serving tray. Place one or two pieces of coated chicken on each bun. Top with a slice of pickle and a small amount of shredded lettuce or coleslaw. Drizzle the remaining glaze and some ranch dressing over the top.

  6. Step 6: Final Touch

Place the top buns over the chicken. If you want them extra warm, you can place the assembled sliders back in the oven for 2-3 minutes before serving. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.
