Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (approx. 6 oz each)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 medium lemon, juiced
  • 1 extra lemon, sliced into rounds for garnish
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure the garlic butter adheres perfectly to the fish.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped parsley, and chopped dill. Stir the mixture until the herbs are evenly distributed throughout the butter.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece. Sprinkle the fillets evenly with salt and black pepper. Use a pastry brush or a spoon to generously coat the top and sides of each fillet with the garlic herb butter mixture.
  4. Top each fillet with a lemon slice. Place the baking sheet in the center of the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. The exact time will depend on the thickness of your fillets. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  5. Carefully remove the pan from the oven. Use a spoon to drizzle any melted butter from the pan back over the salmon. Garnish with a few extra fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately while hot.
