Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup Light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup Toffee bits (such as Heath bits)
  • 34 Large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), sliced for serving
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice (optional, to prevent apple browning)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Soften and Prep. Ensure your cream cheese is completely softened at room temperature for at least an hour. This ensures your dip is smooth and free of lumps. While waiting, slice your apples and toss them in a small bowl with lemon juice to keep them from turning brown.
  2. Step 2: Mix the Cheesecake Base. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Use a hand mixer on medium speed to beat the mixture until it is light, fluffy, and the sugars are fully incorporated.
  3. Step 3: Layer the Dip. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly into a shallow serving dish or a pie plate. Use a spatula to smooth out the top so the caramel has a flat surface to sit on.
  4. Step 4: Drizzle the Caramel. Pour the caramel sauce over the top of the cream cheese layer. You can spread it out to the edges or leave a small border of the white cheesecake base showing for a decorative look.
  5. Step 5: Add the Crunch. Sprinkle the toffee bits generously over the caramel layer. For the best texture, press them slightly into the caramel so they stay in place when you scoop the dip.
  6. Step 6: Chill and Serve. Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld and the base to firm up slightly. Serve cold with your prepared apple slices.
