- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Optional: red and green sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into a Christmas tree shape.
- Combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Mix until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pastry tree and fold the edges to create branches.
- Brush the surface of the pastry with the beaten egg.
- Place the Danish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and cool slightly on a wire rack.
- Dust with powdered sugar and sprinkle with red and green sprinkles.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For a healthier option, substitute part of the cream cheese with Greek yogurt. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
