Description

A hearty and delicious dish featuring tender beef, piled into hoagie rolls and topped with melty cheese, served with savory broth for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef roast
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • Provolone cheese
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in the crockpot.
  2. Mix together the beef broth and onion soup mix until well combined. Pour this mixture over the roast in the crockpot.
  3. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender.
  4. Remove the roast from the crockpot and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the pot.
  5. Serve the beef on hoagie rolls, topped with slices of provolone cheese.

Notes

For added flavor, consider browning the beef roast before adding it to the crockpot. Use low-sodium broth for a healthier option.
