Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix the chicken broth and onion soup mix together and pour over the chicken.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Remove the chicken and shred it if desired, then return to the gravy.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
