Description

Crispy Fried Banana Peppers are a delightful treat with a satisfying crunch and mild spiciness, perfect as an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 banana peppers
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Wash the banana peppers and cut off the stems.
  2. Mix together the flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Whisk together the eggs and milk until smooth. Dip each banana pepper in the egg mixture, ensuring it’s well coated, then roll it in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated banana peppers. Fry until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

Serve with ranch dressing, garlic aioli, or salsa. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in an oven for best texture.
