- 10 banana peppers
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Wash the banana peppers and cut off the stems.
- Mix together the flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Whisk together the eggs and milk until smooth. Dip each banana pepper in the egg mixture, ensuring it’s well coated, then roll it in the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated banana peppers. Fry until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
Serve with ranch dressing, garlic aioli, or salsa. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in an oven for best texture.
