- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Parmesan cheese, grated
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, then sprinkle the Italian seasoning.
- Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Return the cooked chicken back to the skillet, simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve over pasta or rice.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half of the heavy cream with whole milk. Marinate chicken in Italian herbs for extra flavor.
