Description

A comforting dish combining tender orzo pasta with savory chicken, fresh spinach, and a rich creamy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the orzo pasta and chicken broth to the pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
  3. Cook for about 10-12 minutes until tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Stir in shredded chicken, heavy cream, chopped spinach, and grated parmesan. Season with salt and pepper, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through. Serve warm.

Notes

Serve with extra parmesan or crushed red pepper for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
