Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk of your choice (dairy, almond, or oat milk)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 small apple, cored and diced
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey
  • A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a mason jar or a medium-sized bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and maple syrup. Stir the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated and the chia seeds are evenly distributed.
  2. Place a small skillet over medium heat. Add the diced apples, one tablespoon of caramel sauce, and a tiny splash of water. Sauté the apples for about 3 to 5 minutes until they are slightly softened and coated in a sticky caramel glaze. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt to balance the sweetness.
  3. Allow the caramel apples to cool for a few minutes. You can either stir the apple mixture directly into the oat base or layer it on top for a beautiful presentation. If you prefer a bit of crunch, you can save half of the apples to add right before eating.
  4. Seal the jar with a lid or cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Place it in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, though overnight is best. This allows the oats and chia seeds to absorb the liquid and reach a creamy consistency.
