Description
Delicious pork chops smothered in a rich and creamy sauce, perfect for a cozy dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless pork chops
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides to enhance the flavor.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and brown them for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they develop a nice golden crust. Once browned, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to loosen any browned bits. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the heavy cream, paprika, and thyme to the skillet. Stir everything together until well combined and smooth.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, making sure they’re submerged in the sauce. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the pork is cooked through and tender.
- Before serving, garnish the dish with fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
Notes
