Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
  • Food coloring (blue)
  • Cookie crumbles (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the warm milk, melted butter, and egg in a separate bowl.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick, and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a log, then cut into 12 equal rolls.
  8. Cover the dish with a clean kitchen towel and let the rolls rise for about 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Mix together the powdered sugar, milk, and blue food coloring for the icing.
  11. Drizzle the blue icing over the warm cinnamon rolls and sprinkle with cookie crumbles.
