- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
- Food coloring (blue)
- Cookie crumbles (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Combine the warm milk, melted butter, and egg in a separate bowl.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick, and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log, then cut into 12 equal rolls.
- Cover the dish with a clean kitchen towel and let the rolls rise for about 30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Mix together the powdered sugar, milk, and blue food coloring for the icing.
- Drizzle the blue icing over the warm cinnamon rolls and sprinkle with cookie crumbles.
