Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all the ingredients.
  2. Whisk together the flour and baking soda, then set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until creamy.
  3. Add in the vanilla and eggs, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gradually blend in the flour mixture until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop dough onto ungreased baking sheets, placing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 9-10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
