Description

Savory and flaky puff pastry stacks filled with tender beef, smoky ham, and melty cheese, perfect for lunch or appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 cup cooked beef, shredded
  • 1 cup sliced ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: mustard or mayonnaise for spreading

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8-inch thick and cut it into squares, approximately 4×4 inches.
  2. On half of the squares, layer the shredded beef, slices of ham, and a generous sprinkle of cheese. Feel free to add a little mustard or mayonnaise on the pastry before layering for an extra flavor kick.
  3. Season the layered meats and cheese with salt and pepper. Place another square of puff pastry on top and seal the edges with a fork, gently pressing down to ensure a good seal.
  4. Brush the tops of the pastry stacks with the beaten egg for a shiny finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the stacks are puffed up and golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with optional dips like mustard or barbecue sauce. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
