Description

Delightful stacks of beef, ham, and cheese encased in flaky puff pastry, perfect for a quick meal or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your preference)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: onion, garlic, or herbs for additional flavor

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares or rectangles, depending on your preferred size.
  3. Cook the ground beef in a skillet until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper. If desired, add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is soft.
  4. Mix in the diced ham and cheese, stirring until the cheese melts slightly into the meat mixture.
  5. Place a tablespoon of the beef and cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry square.
  6. Fold the pastry over to create a pocket and seal the edges with a fork.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up beautifully.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy the crispy, cheesy goodness!

Notes

Experiment with different cheeses or meats to customize the flavors.
