Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1 cup toffee sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, mashed bananas, and milk. Let this mixture sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in another bowl. Pour this mixture into the bread mixture and stir.
  3. Fold in the walnuts or pecans if using. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
  4. Drizzle the warm toffee sauce over the top once baked. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
