- 4 cups stale bread, cubed
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs

- 1 cup toffee sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, mashed bananas, and milk. Let this mixture sit for about 10 minutes.
- Whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in another bowl. Pour this mixture into the bread mixture and stir.
- Fold in the walnuts or pecans if using. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
- Drizzle the warm toffee sauce over the top once baked. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best results, use stale bread; ripe bananas enhance sweetness and flavor. Can be served with ice cream or whipped cream.
