Description

A delightful fusion dessert combining the rich flavors of baklava with the creamy texture of cheesecake, this dessert is perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of phyllo dough
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup almonds, chopped
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a springform pan with melted butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Layer the bottom of the greased springform pan with sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each layer with melted butter.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, followed by sour cream, vanilla, and orange blossom water.
  4. Fold the chopped nuts into the cheesecake mixture, pour over the phyllo, and fold the edges of the phyllo over the filling.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set with a slight jiggle.
  6. Drizzle honey over the top and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a crispier texture, brush each phyllo sheet well with butter. You can customize the nuts according to your preference.
