Description
A rich and creamy baked salmon dish with a zesty lemon butter sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper, and drizzle with olive oil. Place the fillets skin-side down on a baking sheet, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, allowing it to become fragrant without burning.
- Stir in the heavy cream, fresh lemon juice, and lemon zest to the saucepan. Cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
- Pour the creamy lemon sauce over the salmon fillets. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through. Once done, remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
