  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper, and drizzle with olive oil. Place the fillets skin-side down on a baking sheet, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, allowing it to become fragrant without burning.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream, fresh lemon juice, and lemon zest to the saucepan. Cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Pour the creamy lemon sauce over the salmon fillets. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through. Once done, remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
