Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey (93% lean is best)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour (fine ground)
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. While it heats up, lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent the meatballs from sticking during the cooking process.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, almond flour, parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Use your hands or a fork to mix everything together until just combined. Be careful not to overwork the meat, as this can lead to tough meatballs.
  3. Scoop about 1 to 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a ball roughly 1.5 inches in diameter. You should end up with about 16 to 20 meatballs. Try to keep them uniform in size so they cook evenly.
  4. Place the meatballs in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure they are not touching so the air can circulate freely around each one. If you have a smaller air fryer, you may need to cook them in two batches.
  5. Cook the meatballs at 375°F (190°C) for 10 to 12 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, gently shake the basket or use tongs to turn the meatballs. They are done when the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the outsides are golden brown.
