Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel your sweet potatoes using a vegetable peeler. Carefully cut them into uniform 1/2-inch cubes. Keeping the size consistent is important because it ensures that all the pieces cook at the same rate.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweet potato cubes with the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until every cube is evenly coated in the oil and spices.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if your model requires preheating. Place the seasoned sweet potato cubes into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding to allow the hot air to circulate properly for maximum crispiness.
  4. Cook the sweet potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for 12 to 15 minutes. About halfway through the cooking time, remove the basket and give it a good shake to flip the cubes. Continue cooking until they are tender on the inside and crispy on the edges.
