1 can (16 oz) refrigerated flaky layers biscuits (8 count)
8 breakfast sausage patties (pre-cooked or raw)
8 large eggs
8 slices sharp cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Air Fryer and Biscuits. Preheat your air fryer to 330°F (165°C). Open the can of biscuits and separate them. Lightly brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter mixed with garlic powder for extra flavor. Place the biscuits in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
Step 2: Air Fry the Biscuits. Cook the biscuits for 8 to 10 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, flip the biscuits over to ensure the bottoms get golden brown as well. Once they are fully cooked and sound hollow when tapped, remove them from the basket and set them aside.
Step 3: Cook the Sausage Patties. Place the sausage patties in the air fryer basket. If using raw patties, cook at 370°F (185°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway. If using pre-cooked patties, they only need about 4-5 minutes to become hot and slightly crispy. Remove and keep warm.
Step 4: Prepare the Eggs. While the sausage is cooking, prepare your eggs on the stove or in the air fryer using small ramekins. To use the air fryer, crack each egg into a greased ramekin, season with salt and pepper, and “bake” at 330°F (165°C) for 5-6 minutes until the whites are set. Alternatively, you can scramble them in a skillet.
Step 5: Final Assembly and Cheese Melt. Slice each biscuit in half. Layer a sausage patty, a cooked egg, and a slice of cheddar cheese onto the bottom half of the biscuit. Place the assembled sandwiches (without the top biscuit half) back into the air fryer for 1 minute at 350°F (175°C) just until the cheese is melted. Place the biscuit tops on and serve immediately.
