Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (12 oz) refrigerated flaky layers biscuits (usually 8 or 10 count, you will use 4-8)
  • 4 pre-cooked breakfast sausage patties (thawed if frozen)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Hot sauce or maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. Place 4 to 8 biscuits in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch. Lightly brush the tops with melted butter. Air fry at 330°F (165°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the centers are cooked through. Remove the biscuits and set them aside, splitting them in half once they are cool enough to touch.
  2. While the biscuits are cooling, crack each egg into a small, greased ramekin or a silicone egg mold that fits inside your air fryer. Lightly whisk the yolk with a fork if you prefer a scrambled style, or leave it whole for a fried-egg feel. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the ramekins with eggs and the pre-cooked sausage patties in the air fryer basket. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 5-6 minutes. The eggs should be set but tender, and the sausage should be heated through and slightly crisp on the edges.
  4. Place the bottom half of each biscuit on a plate or back in the air fryer basket. Top with a cooked sausage patty, an egg (carefully popped out of the ramekin), and a slice of cheddar cheese. Place the top half of the biscuit over the cheese.
  5. Place the assembled sandwiches back into the air fryer for 1 minute at 350°F (175°C). This ensures the cheese is perfectly melted and the whole sandwich is piping hot. Serve immediately.
