Ingredients

Scale
  • 6–8 chicken drumsticks (about 1.5 to 2 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 1.5 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional, as many seasonings already contain salt)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Use paper towels to pat the chicken drumsticks thoroughly dry. Removing excess moisture from the skin is the secret to getting that perfect, extra-crispy texture in the air fryer.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drumsticks, olive oil, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Toss everything together until each piece of chicken is evenly coated in the oil and spices.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. Place the drumsticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure they are not overlapping to allow the air to circulate properly.
  4. Cook the drumsticks for 20 to 25 minutes. At the halfway mark (around 12 minutes), use tongs to flip the drumsticks over. This ensures even browning and crispiness on all sides.
  5. Check the internal temperature of the chicken using a meat thermometer. It should reach 165°F (74°C) at the thickest part. Once done, remove from the air fryer, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with extra lemon wedges.
