Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Fresh parsley and lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Set aside about one tablespoon of this mixture to use as a fresh glaze after the salmon is finished cooking.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. This is a crucial step to ensure the glaze sticks and the skin gets crispy. Rub the fillets with olive oil and season evenly with salt and black pepper.
  3. Brush the honey garlic mixture generously over the top and sides of each salmon fillet. Ensure the entire surface is well-coated so the flavor penetrates the fish as it cooks.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the fillets in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets. The salmon is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer. Brush with the remaining tablespoon of sauce that you set aside earlier. Garnish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of fresh lemon if desired.
