Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic until the honey is fully dissolved. Set aside about two tablespoons of this mixture to use as a finishing glaze later.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. This is crucial for getting a good sear. Rub the fillets with olive oil, then season evenly with smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes. Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching so the air can circulate freely.
  4. Cook the salmon at 400°F for 6 minutes. Open the basket and generously brush the honey garlic glaze over each fillet. Continue cooking for another 3 to 4 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F and the glaze is bubbling.
  5. Remove the salmon from the air fryer and drizzle with the reserved glaze. Garnish with fresh parsley or chopped green onions and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
