- 12 mozzarella sticks
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil spray
Instructions
- Cut the mozzarella sticks in half and freeze them for about 30 minutes.
- Set up a breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third. Season the flour with salt and pepper.
- Dip each cheese stick in flour, then into the egg, and finally coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the breaded mozzarella poppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer and spray lightly with oil.
- Cook for about 6-8 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider mixing herbs into the breadcrumbs or adding spices like paprika.
