Description

Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, these air fryer mozzarella poppers make for a delicious and healthier snack that’s perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 12 mozzarella sticks
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil spray

Instructions

  1. Cut the mozzarella sticks in half and freeze them for about 30 minutes.
  2. Set up a breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third. Season the flour with salt and pepper.
  3. Dip each cheese stick in flour, then into the egg, and finally coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the breaded mozzarella poppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer and spray lightly with oil.
  5. Cook for about 6-8 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
